A response...
I just received an email from an agency and they mostly said that Los Angeles deals with motion pictures while New York handles television. A blitz of query letters were sent to New York, so I hope all of them reply. I might get lucky and hook up with someone who has connections. Even though this is somewhat of a let-down, I'm glad the guy emailed me. It's way better than leaving me hanging like so many others. Now I know where I stand.
One thing is for certain, I need a West Coast agent.
The only reason why I picked New York was due to the convenience. I figured the agent-client relationship would be easier to handle, especially for meetings and all the like. Since most of the production companies and studios are in LA, it makes since that those particular agents would be where the action is at. It feels like I'm back at square one.
I do have one contact, but she's swamped with work. Unfortunately, I have the dreaded task of bothering her, something I rather not resort to, but it's a necessary evil. They only way she can cure herself of me is to point me in the direction of someone higher up in that Hollywood hierarchy...
Honestly, she's really nice. I just hope she's not too busy for me.

I've got my fingers crossed.
I've done a quick look over of your screenplay so far, and I am intrigued. I'll be doing a proper read of it soon. It's just that I'm in the middle of packing and soon to be moving, so time is running short.
But you have my word, I will read it, and will give you proper feedback
Cheers!
Happy Friday!!!
@skylar_rose - There's no rush, my friend. Be sure to get all of your stuff in order. My script is the least of your problems. I know moving can be a load of trouble. Wish I could help, honestly. I'm good with lifting.
It's a start, at least. It's like fishing- you can snap the line too soon and hope to snag a gruper. Patience.
With that said, patience is for poofs, and I can't imagine the kind of walls you're climbing right now.
@JoeTheBartender - It feels like a wall, my friend. I just got another email from an agent telling me to look to the West coast. Understandable. I just wish the writers guild would tell me which agencies handle screenplays and movies. Since it's the "writers guild", so that brings just about every aspect of writing to the table, but I need the damn movie folk. I suppose any agency in Los Angeles is a safe bet, but I'll ask around.
I should have wrote a novel. Would have had an agent several times over in New York...
It's rough, Joe. The good news is that I only have to snag one and then I'll be set-----unless that agent sucks. Oh, God no... Happy thoughts, positve energy, and zen-like whatever.
@Jack_Hawksmoor - Like Lucas in Empire Records, you are guided by a force much greater than luck.
Still sounds like progress to me. Every step is a step closer to success!
@JoeTheBartender - A force greater than luck? I like that. Thanks.
@Ufbad - I suppose you're right about that. Even though these New York agencies can't service me, they are pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks.
Good luck.
